The Student Happiness Center of the College of Dentistry, GMU organized a Career Advising Session on the 15th of December 2023 for dental students and interns. The session titled ‘Unlocking Your Dental Dream: Navigating the DOH Licensing Process’ was delivered by Dr. Ali Alnuami, General Dentist, Total Core Clinic, Al Ain and Dr. Nada Alawadhi, General Dentist, Royal Care Medical Center, Al Ain.
Dr. Alnuami explained the intricate process of obtaining licensure from the Department of Health (DOH) in a stepwise fashion, providing invaluable insights and first-hand experiences. The session included information on, candidate eligibility, exam preparation, exam structure, exam outcome, overall costs, and post licencing opportunities.
The session concluded with active discussions offering the attendees a roadmap to navigate through regulatory requirements seamlessly.
