Faculty development workshop was conducted on ‘Blended Learning Approach and Team Based Learning (TBL)’ by the Gulf Medical University on the 2nd & 3rd of September 2020.
The workshop was facilitated by respected Chancellor, Prof. Hossam Hamdy and Vice Chancellor Academics, Prof. Manda Venkatramana. One of the program highlights was an online webinar on ‘e-TBL during COVID-19’ by Dr. Jerome Rotgans, Assistant Professor, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
The program was attended by all the GMU faculty of various colleges, wherein College of Dentistry actively participated. Prof. Hesham Marei, Dean, College of Dentistry presented an example of a detailed ‘Online Lesson’ on Moodle and suggested learning strategies and tools for conducting courses online having an integrated curriculum.
