Prof. Hesham Marei, Dean, College of Dentistry, GMU, alongside Prof. Walid Elsayed, Associate Dean of Academics, College of Dentistry, and Dr. Mohamed Al-Eraky, Associate Professor of Medical Education and Chairman of the Health Professions Education Department, College of Medicine, GMU, actively led a comprehensive two-day training program organized by the Dubai Health Authority titled “Training of Trainers” at the Dubai Medical College, Dubai on the 25th and 26th of June 2024.
The training program aimed at medical and health professionals provided participants with essential skills and knowledge in various aspects of medical education. The training covered ‘Learning and Teaching’ topics in Health Professions Education, including designing effective lesson plans and employing innovative teaching strategies such as microteaching, flipped classrooms, and team-based learning. Additionally, participants gained best practices for teaching in clinical contexts, enhancing their ability to deliver high-quality education in healthcare settings.
