The first Faculty Development Session of the academic year 2023-2024 was organized by the Quality Assurance and Program Effectiveness Committee (QA&PE) of the College of Dentistry (CoD), GMU. The session on ‘Positive Teacher Student Relationship for Enhancing Learning’ was delivered by Dr. Sabrin Ali Azim, Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, CoD on the 22nd of September 2023.
Dr. Azim stressed the importance of establishing trust as the foundation of a healthy teacher-student relationship. She provided practical strategies to foster trust, which is essential for open communication and student engagement. She encouraged educators to cultivate a classroom environment that promotes inclusivity and support. This session also emphasized the significance of mentorship and the value of peer-assisted learning.
