Dr. Dalia A. Gaber, Assistant professor of Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, College of Medicine, recently participated in the Health Professions Education Journal Club at Gulf Medical University. The club, which was facilitated by Dr. Walid Elsayed, the Associate Dean of Academics, College of Dentistry, discussed and critiqued a research article titled ‘Applying visual mapping techniques to promote learning in community-based medical education activities’ on the 29th of December 2022.
During the presentation, Dr. Gaber provided a thorough analysis of the article, pointing out its strengths and limitations. She also suggested the possible implementation of mind and concept mapping in teaching and learning activities at GMU. The presentation sparked interest among attendees, who asked questions and engaged in a lively discussion.
