Dr. Asmaa Tahseen, Lecturer and Specialist in Oral Radiology, College of Dentistry, GMU facilitated a workshop on the ‘Significance of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) in Dental Implant Treatment Planning’ for MDS Periodontics postgraduate students at the Thumbay Dental Hospital, on the 26th of December 2023.
During the workshop, Dr. Tahseen guided students with an aim at achieving specific educational objectives. The participants engaged in; mastering CBCT imaging file retrieval, navigating CBCT post-imaging processing, and optimization of CBCT Image presentation. Additionally, they also learnt guidelines for accurately determining bone quantity and quality measurements crucial for dental implant placement, facilitated through the Romexis Software.
This interactive workshop provided students with practical skills and knowledge essential for advancing their expertise in dental implant treatment planning.
