The community engagement committee of the College of Dentistry, GMU conducted an educational event at Al Durrah International School, Sharjah on the 18th of October 2022, to celebrate the month of Oral Health Literacy. Dental students from different academic years delivered a presentation on ‘prevention and management of dental decay’ that emphasized the use of antimicrobial mouthwashes, dental floss, and regular dental checkups. Students also demonstrated the technique of tooth brushing on dental models to empower the practice of good oral hygiene. The event also focused on addressing oral health-related questions which received a great response from the school students and teachers.
