The College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University in collaboration with Curaden Academy visited the Dubai Center for Special Needs to educate students and caretakers of oral hygiene practices on the 23rd of February 2023. Dental students from different academic years delivered a short video presentation and demonstrated the technique of tooth brushing on dental models to empower the practice of good oral hygiene.
The event was fun and interactive, wherein students with special needs participated in learning how to choose the right food for good oral health and played board games pertaining to oral care education designed by Curaprox.
The visit was well received by the students and caretakers at the Dubai Center for Special Needs, who expressed their appreciation for the valuable information and guidance provided by the GMU team. This initiative of the community engagement committee was a part of the college’s responsibility towards community service.
