College of Dentistry Organized a Hand-On Workshop on Suturing Techniques in Oral Surgery for Dental Interns

The College of Dentistry’s Department of Diagnostic and Surgical Dental Sciences hosted a practical workshop for dental interns titled ‘Suturing Techniques in Oral Surgery’ on 3rd of April 2024. The workshop highlighted the importance of effective wound closure in dental procedures and aimed to equip interns with comprehensive knowledge about various suture types, including absorbable and non-absorbable varieties, and the use of different armamentarium. Moreover, participants were instructed on essential suturing techniques commonly utilized in dental practice, such as continuous and interrupted suturing, alongside insights into managing complications. The event provided a valuable opportunity for interns to enhance their skills and understanding in this critical aspect of dental care.
