College of Dentistry, GMU in collaboration with the Dubai Blood Donation Center, Dubai Health Authority organized a blood donation camp at the Gulf Medical University, Ajman campus for students, faculty, and staff on the 2nd of March 2023. The blood donation drive was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of donating blood and encouraging more people to come forward and donate. Participants underwent a thorough medical checkup before donating blood to ensure their safety and eligibility.
More than 100 voluntary registrations were received, and more than 30 successful donations were made. This initiative of the community engagement committee was a part of the college’s responsibility towards community service.
The Dubai Health Authority expressed sincere gratitude to the College of Dentistry, GMU in recognition of the college’s commitment to a humanitarian cause of saving precious lives by organizing voluntary Blood Donation Campaign.
