A guest lecture on ‘Individual Prophylaxis in the Management of the Periodontal Biofilm’ was followed by a workshop that was delivered and facilitated by Prof. Denis Bourgeois, Former Dean, and Professor, Department of Public Health, Dental Faculty, The University of Lyon, France for dental students, interns, and faculty on the 22nd and 23rd of September 2022. The lecture focused on preventive measures for maintaining oral health and highlighted the importance of disorganizing the periodontal biofilm. The hands-on workshop involved the training of dental faculty members and dental students on individual prophylaxis by using appropriate brushing techniques and interdental cleaning aids. The event was a byproduct of the collaboration between the College of Dentistry, GMU, and Curaden Academy.
