On April 24, 2025, the Career Advising Center at Thumbay College of Management and AI in Healthcare, Gulf Medical University, hosted an empowering session titled: “Career Opportunities in Healthcare Management” — designed to equip students with the insights they need to navigate the dynamic healthcare industry.
Student-led, Experience-Driven
Final-year students Ms. Aasiyah and Mr. Rishabh, alongside Ms. Sumaida (3rd Year, BSc.HME), shared compelling reflections from their respective internships at leading organizations. Their experiences included:
- Hospital operations coordination at the Thumbay University Hospital
- Healthcare data analysis using statistical tools for patient outcome tracking
- Patient services management and workflow optimization in outpatient care settings
These engaging stories highlighted the transformational power of real-world exposure, demonstrating how classroom knowledge is applied to streamline services, enhance patient satisfaction, and support decision-making in high-stakes environments.
Expert Guidance & Encouragement
The session was facilitated by Dr. Jagroop Singh, Assistant Professor at the College, who commended the students for their initiative and urged younger peers to take full advantage of internship opportunities and career planning resources. He emphasized growing roles in the field, such as: Healthcare Operations Manager, Medical and Health Services Administrator, Health Informatics Specialist, Healthcare Quality & Compliance Officer, Digital Health Project Manager, Public Health Program Manager, AI Integration Specialist in Healthcare, Patient Experience Manager, Health Policy Analyst.
With the presence of Dr. Moon Moon Haque, Dean of the College, and dedicated faculty, the event reflected the College’s strong focus on industry-aligned education and student career success.
