Gulf Medical University (GMU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICME Healthcare

Thumbay College of Management and AI in Healthcare (TCMAIH), Gulf Medical University (GMU) and I.C.M.E Healthcare signed a MoU today, i.e on December 12, 2024. This collaboration sets the stage for mutual benefits and promising opportunities. I.C.M.E Healthcare is the First Private Swiss Management Consulting Company founded in 1954. ICME begins focus on services rather than on specific industry. Clients were from telecom, banking, energy and utilities.  ICME started its healthcare division in 2000 in Berlin and then went on to buy shares of CareSpan, an e-health company which is focused on digital patient care. Abu Dhabi Office was established in 2008 and its prestigious clients are SEHA and Al Ain Hospital. Recent offices are in Kosovo and Albania, having presence in 32 countries. The agreement is about hiring Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management and Economics (BSc.HME) senior students for internship and joint research collaboration.

Both institutions share a common vision and mission, making them ideal partners in advancing the field of healthcare and creating models of excellence in academic health systems. We are excited to announce that as part of this collaboration, TCMAIH-GMU will organize an annual drive at the GMU Campus to facilitate ICME in selecting interns and prospective future employees. This initiative will provide an excellent opportunity for GMU students to gain valuable experience in a renowned healthcare facility like ICME.

We are grateful to ICME for their willingness to welcome TCMAIH students as interns, allowing them to learn and contribute to the hospital’s operations. This practical exposure will undoubtedly enhance the students’ skills and help shape their future careers in the healthcare industry.

We are confident that this collaboration will pave the way for a strong partnership between GMU and ICME, fostering the exchange of knowledge, promoting professional growth, and furthering excellence in healthcare education and practice.

We look forward to the exciting developments and achievements that this MoU will bring, creating a positive impact on the healthcare sector in the region.
