Prof. Farzin Sarkarat
Dr. Farzin Sarkarat is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and at present is an Adjunct Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University. He completed his Bachelor’s degree from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, Iran in 1996. He further pursued his postgraduation in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Shahdi Beheshti Medical University and Health Services, Tehran, Iran in 2003. Dr. Sarkarat earned the US ICOI fellowship and mastership in Maxillofacial Reconstruction and Esthetic Procedures from Germany, January in 2007.
Dr. Sarkarat has more than 50 publications to his credit in various international and national indexed journals. He has also authored chapters and published books on facial augmentation, self-inflating tissue expanders, office-based facial cosmetic procedures, and cosmetic procedure guidelines for patients. He has several active professional memberships at the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Emirates Medical Association. Dr. Sarkarat has contributed and presented at more than 100 lectures at national and international conferences.
