Dr. Yahya Hassan Amer
Dr. Yahya H. Amer is an Assistant Professor of Periodontics at the College of Dentistry, GMU. He brings an extensive clinical and academic experience to his role, with a deep commitment to education and clinical care. He holds a PhD in Periodontology from Cairo University (2021), MSc in Periodontology (Ain Shams University, 2017), and BSc in Dentistry from Misr International University.
Dr. Yahya’s professional career combines extensive clinical experience with academic contributions. Prior to joining GMU, he served as Assistant Professor of Periodontology at Misr International University, where he was actively involved in teaching, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, and conducting academic research. His research has been presented at major national and international conferences, including EuroPerio 10 (Denmark). He has also led departmental staff development programs as well as coordinating and delivering a range of undergraduate Dentistry modules. Moreover, he has organized and conducted several workshops on periodontal surgeries.
Dr. Yahya’s clinical expertise includes serving as Consultant at the Air Force Specialized Hospital – Egypt, specializing in periodontology and implant surgery. In addition, he has worked on developing treatment plans for implant-guided surgery, utilizing advanced diagnostic software to formulate and present treatment plans to international dentists, providing expert guidance in implant and digital dentistry.
