Dr. Srinivas Ramachandra is an assistant professor in Periodontics. He graduated from A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, India in 2001 and then received his master’s in Periodontology from Bapuji Dental College and Hospital, Davangere, India in 2006. Dr. Srinivas completed his PhD in Periodontics from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. Currently, Srinivas is pursuing his Masters in Clinical Education (online mode) from the University of Edinburgh.
Before moving to UAE, he worked in various capacities at Kanti Devi Dental College and Hospital, Mathura, India, and the Faculty of Dentistry, SEGi University, Malaysia. He has several peer-reviewed publications to his credit. His research interests are in clinical trials in periodontitis, aggressive periodontitis, staging and grading of periodontitis, three-dimensional biofilm models, and antimicrobials in periodontitis. His research interests are in dental education and cessation strategies around newer modes of tobacco intake (shisha smoking and e-cigarettes). Srinivas is interested in collaborations with researchers and mentoring experts in the above-mentioned research areas.
