Dr. Ranya Farag Elemam
Dr. Ranya Elemam is an Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the Gulf Medical University, UAE since 2022. She graduated from the University of Benghazi, Libya in 2002 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). She received the degree of Master of Science (MSc) in Endodontics from the University of Manchester, the UK in 2009. She was awarded the degree of ‘Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)’ in Endodontics at the University of Porto, Portugal in 2016. She completed the equivalence program at Egas Moniz University, Portugal in 2021, as a license to practice dentistry in Europe.
Dr. Ranya has been involved in Dental practices in both private and governmental sectors since 2002 in Libya. She has 11 years of teaching experience in preclinical and clinical stages. She has delivered several presentations at national and international conferences. She has been an author and collaborator on numerous journal articles. Her special research interest is in dental education and endodontic materials and techniques.
She is affiliated with several international societies in dental education and endodontics. As a certified trainer, she developed and implemented hands-on training courses in Endodontics for general dental practitioners, which were delivered in Libya and Portugal.
