Dr. Karim Ahmed Shehab, is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at the College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University. His academic journey in dentistry began with earning his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 2006 from October 6th University in Egypt. Driven by a passion for orthodontics, he went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Orthodontics (MSc) in 2013, followed by a Doctorate degree in Orthodontics (PhD) from the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Cairo University, Egypt.

His teaching career started in 2007 at the Modern Science and Arts University, Egypt. He progressed from a teaching assistant to becoming a lecturer in orthodontics by 2020. Over the years, he found great fulfillment in guiding and mentoring dental students, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in orthodontics.

Clinically, he has been practicing as an orthodontic practitioner, specialist and consultant since 2009, working in several governmental hospitals as well as in private practice. His clinical experience has allowed him to treat a diverse range of cases and take pride in providing high-quality care to his patients.

In addition to teaching and clinical work, he has a strong interest in research. He has published several papers in international orthodontic journals as well as in national journals, contributing to the body of knowledge in our field. He was also actively involved in attending and presenting at various international and local conferences and workshops, which has helped him stay updated with the latest advancements in orthodontics.

Dr. Karim is committed to continue his contributions to the field of orthodontics.
