Dr. Fadi Titinchi

Dr. Fadi Titinchi is an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University. He attained his PhD from the University of Portsmouth, UK and was also admitted as Fellow by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FDS RCPS). Dr. Titinchi completed his clinical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Groote Schuur, Tygerberg Academic and Red Cross Children’s hospitals in Cape Town, South Africa. He received his board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (with Merit). More recently he completed an AOCMF Fellowship at University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

Dr. Titinchi previously held the position of Senior Lecturer/Consultant at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of the Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa whereby he has been involved with undergraduate teaching for over eight years and was also involved with specialist training and postgraduate research supervision.

To date, Dr. Titinchi has authored 41 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts as well as 3 book chapters and edited one textbook. Dr. Titinchi has presented his research at numerous international conferences in USA, UK, UAE, Singapore, Brazil and South Africa. Furthermore, Dr Titinchi has received numerous awards for his research including the prestigious Henry M. Thornton Fellowship Award by the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research, Unilever Hatton Prize by International Association for Dental Research and KLS Martin Research Award amongst others. The main focus of his research is on the surgical management of tumours and deformities of the Maxillofacial region.
