Dr. Bhavna Jha Kukreja is an assistant professor of Periodontics and Oral Implantology at Gulf Medical University, Ajman, United Arab Emirates. She did her Bachelor of dental surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, in 2006, her master of dental surgery in from Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut, in 2012, and her Ph.D. from Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow in 2021. Her Ph.D. thesis is on the Regeneration of periodontal ligament fibers around mini dental implants and their attachment to the bone in an animal model – a radiographic and histological study
Before moving to the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Bhavna Jha Kukreja has worked in reputed dental institutions in India. Her last position was Professor of periodontology at Teerthanker Mahaveer Dental College and Research Centre, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, India. She has a total undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience of 9 years and 10 months. She has also been actively involved in the Accreditation of her college by the National Academic and Accreditation Council of India.
She has more than 54 publications in reputed dental and periodontal journals and has published a book titled Periodontal wound healing. She has also won several awards in various national and international conferences held in India. She has also been actively involved in organizing various speciality conferences in India. She is well trained in various types of periodontal surgeries and implant surgeries. she has been granted multiple patents including Australian patent for the technique of Regeneration of periodontal ligament fibres around mini dental implants and attachment to the bone in an animal model and Carboxymethyl cellulose chitosan – Fluoride doped amorphous calcium hydroxide: A Novel Re-mineralizing gel.
She is very passionate about her subject and strives for in excellence in her field. She has also been involved in private dental and periodontal practice and was a consultant periodontist and oral implantologist in many reputed dental clinics in New Delhi, India.
