The College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University organized a guest lecture for MDS Periodontics students on “Periodontal Plastic Surgery: Where Function Meets Aesthetic Excellence” by Dr. Navid Sharifzadeh, DDS, MS, American Board-certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Surgeon, University of Southern California, LA on the 7th of March 2025.
Dr. Navid shared insights on the latest advancements in periodontal plastic surgery, covering topics such as minimally invasive techniques, root coverage procedures, soft tissue augmentation, and the integration of periodontal plastic surgery with implantology for enhanced esthetic outcomes. Participants gained valuable knowledge on surgical techniques that improve both function and aesthetics in periodontal and implant therapy.
