Gulf Medical University conducted its first Health Professions Education Journal Club, on the 15th of July 2021. The presenters for the session were Dr. Dixon Thomas, Associate Dean Clinical and Director, Center for Drug Information & Evidence Based Pharmacy (CDI-EBP) and Dr. Eman El-Labbad, Assistant Professor for Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy. The session was facilitated by Dr. Walid Elsayed, Associate Dean Academics, College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University. The session involved paper discussions and interactions on interprofessional collaboration, a team-based approach to patient care and mentorship related to health professions education.
