College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University organized the Orientation program for the Spring 2019 intake of First-year students on 3 Jan. 2019. The new students and their parents were warmly welcomed by Prof. Manda Venkatramana, Vice Chancellor and Acting Dean of College of Dentistry. The new batch was oriented to the DMD program by Dr Sura Ali, Associate Dean of Academics, College of Dentistry. Faculty and students were introduced to each other by Dr Hossam. A tour to familiarize new students to the university campus and its facilities were provided. It was a joyous and moving event for students and parents!!

College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University is the only college offering DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) program in the U A E. The Doctor of Dental medicine (DMD) program is a competency-based model of education with the Program learning outcomes aligned to American Dental Association (ADA) and American Dental Education Association (ADEA). The program received Full Accreditation from Ministry of Education, UAE, in 2018.
The College of Dentistry is well equipped with a state of the art Dental Simulation Lab, Wax lab and Phantom Head lab which are used for pre-clinical teaching and assessment purposes. Clinical phase training is fulfilled in Thumbay Dental Hospital which is equipped with 61 dental units. College of Dentistry also offers Dental Internship Program. Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Periodontics and Endodontics are intended to provide future pathways for all Dental graduates in their own alma mater.
