An insightful workshop on the “Use of Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) for Various Procedures” was organized by the College of Dentistry, GMU on the 20th of January 2025. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Reema Patel, Business Development Manager at Al Thanaya Pharmaceuticals. The session featured the Dr. Choukroun DUO Quattro PRF Machine, an advanced, second-generation system that represents an enhanced and supercharged version of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) technology.

The workshop delved into the concept of PRF, which is based on the centrifugation of whole blood to create a platelet-rich fibrin matrix that aids in regenerative procedures. Dr. Patel, along with Mr. Jyoti Prakash Mishra, Senior Product Specialist at Al Thanaya Pharmaceuticals, conducted a live demonstration of Injectable PRF (i-PRF) and Advanced PRF (A-PRF), providing practical insights into the clinical applications of the technology.
The engaging hands-on workshop equipped attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the latest advancements in regenerative dentistry in the field of periodontics.
