A research session titled “How to Read a Scientific Article” by Prof. Mohamed M. Al-Eraky was conducted for MDS Periodontics and Endodontics postgraduate students on the 21st of January 2025. Prof. Al-Eraky introduced students to the fundamentals of understanding research articles, emphasizing their structure, critical components, and strategies to evaluate credibility and relevance.
He further guided the students on selecting research topics, offering practical tips to identify gaps in existing knowledge and align their research interests with clinical and academic goals.
An essential highlight of the session was the interactive group activity, where students collaborated to analyze scientific articles, discuss methodologies, and share insights. This hands-on approach enabled participants to apply their learning in real-time, deepening their understanding of research practices.
