Dr. Jovita D’Souza, Lecturer and Specialist Periodontist at the College of Dentistry, GMU, facilitated an orientation session on the ‘Utilization of the Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) for Tracking Student’s Clinical Requirements.’ The session took place on the 29th of December 2023, and aimed to equip faculty members with key insights into optimizing the HIMS platform for effective student monitoring.
The orientation covered three important aspects crucial for the faculty’s engagement with the HIMS system: utilizing HIMS for mapping students’ clinical requirements, assigning and monitoring student progression, and understanding the coding system for clinical procedures.
Faculty members actively participated in the interactive session thereby creating a collaborative atmosphere aimed towards optimizing the utilization of the HIMS system for the benefit of both faculty and students alike.
