Dr. Diaaeldin Farag, Associate professor of Fixed Prosthodontics, and Dr.Tarek Elsewify, Associate professor of Endodontics, College of Dentistry, GMU facilitated a workshop on ‘Exploring Innovative Digital Applications in Dental Education and Practice‘ for MDS Periodontics postgraduate students on the 25th of December 2023.
During the workshop Dr. Farag and Dr. Elsewify, shared insights into the transformative role of digital technologies in both dental education and clinical practice. The workshop offered an introduction to digital trends in dentistry and provided hands-on exposure to innovative digital techniques such as; scanning of dental models, and designing and fabrication of surgical guides through 3D printing.
The workshop provided students with a comprehensive outline to prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of the digital era in dentistry.
