Dr. Sherif Aly Sadek, Associate Professor of Removable Prosthodontics, College of Dentistry, GMU, led an insightful workshop titled ‘Mastering Complete Dentures: Insights on tips, tricks, and complication management’ for dental interns at the Thumbay Dental Hospital on the 22nd December 2023.
The workshop was structured into two informative sessions, offering a comprehensive learning experience. The first session was didactic, exploring the most common challenges reported by complete denture patients. Dr. Sadek, shared tips, and tricks on how to overcome these issues during the fabrication process and effectively manage them in both new and existing dentures. The second session was a hands-on practical demonstration, that provided a unique opportunity for interns to enhance their skills in primary impressions, secondary impressions, and jaw relation techniques.
This workshop not only equipped dental interns with practical knowledge but also served as a platform to enhance their clinical capabilities.
