The Student Happiness Center of the College of Dentistry organized a Career Advising Session on ‘Navigating Your Career Journey: A Comprehensive Guide to Living and Licensing in Canada‘ for dental students and interns on the 13th of December, 2023. The session was delivered by Dr. Younis Marei, GMU Alumni, Instructor, and Client Advisor, Prep Doctors, Canada.
The session covered a spectrum of topics, offering practical advice on licensing procedures, centres for coaching, living expenses, and the overall professional landscape for dental practitioners in Canada. The session described the step wise process to apply for the National Board of Dental Examination of Canada (NBED). It also provided the students with an alternative pathway such as undertaking bridging programs.
Dr. Younis Marei actively engaged with the audience in an interactive Q&A session. The lively exchange of questions and answers facilitated a constructive dialogue between the speaker and the audience, creating a collaborative atmosphere.
