Groundbreaking Achievement: Gulf Medical University’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery Program in the UAE Receives Five-Year International Accreditation from the Australian Dental Council

In a groundbreaking achievement for dental education in the United Arab Emirates, the Bachelor of Dental Surgery program at the College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University (GMU), has been awarded international accreditation by the Australian Dental Council (ADC). This prestigious recognition marks a significant milestone, as it is the first program in the UAE to receive accreditation from the ADC.

The ADC, renowned for its rigorous standards in dental education, has accredited the GMU’s program for a substantial period of five years, commencing from 1st January 2024 and extending through to 31st December 2028. Remarkably, this accreditation has been granted without any conditions, underscoring the exceptional quality and standards upheld by the program.
