Dr. Bhavna Kukreja, Program Director, MDS Periodontics Program, College of Dentistry, GMU delivered a guest lecture titled ‘Regeneration of Periodontal Ligament Fibers Around Dental Implants and Their Attachment to Bone in an Animal Model: A Radiographic and Histological Study’ for the Rising Star Session at the International Association of Dental Research Asia Pacific Region (IADR APR) Symposium on the 29th October 2023, China.
Dr. Kukreja presented the findings of her research, which focused on the regeneration of periodontal ligament fibers on dental implant surfaces through the strategic use of stem cell seeding. The results of her study promised to advance the future of regenerative medicine where implants may replicate the natural characteristics of teeth.
