In continuation to the Career Counselling Program Series, organized by the College of Dentistry, Prof. Hossam Abdelatty, Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, CoD, GMU delivered a session on ‘Post Graduate Studies in Dentistry’ to dental students and interns on the 14th of February 2023.
Prof. Abdelatty emphasized on the importance of postgraduate studies in dentistry and how it can open up new opportunities for dental professionals. He highlighted the various fields of specialization within dentistry, such as orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery, and discussed the specific skills and knowledge required for each field.
He also shared his insights on how to choose the right postgraduate program within and outside UAE, stressing the importance of selecting a program that aligns with the individual’s interests and career goals. He encouraged the attendees to research different programs, institutions, research opportunities, and the potential for future career growth.
