College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University organized a workshop on ‘Master MTA from theory into the practice’ on 6th February 2020. Dr. Riccardo Tonini, a specialist endodontist from Italy delivered a lecture that focused on Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA), the gold standard bioactive material used to manage endodontic complications. An extended hands on session was conducted in the phantom lab, as the dental students learned techniques for repairing perforations using MTA with tooth model ‘MITICA’. The session was moderated by the endodontic faculty members of the College of Dentistry; Dr. Bassem Mohamed, Associate Professor, Endodontics and Dr.Rahul Halkai, Assistant Professor, Endodontics.
