Showcasing Research Excellence: Student-Led Research Conducted by Physiotherapy Students at CoHS

Final year Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) students of the 2021 batch, Department of Physiotherapy, College of Health Sciences (CoHS), Gulf Medical University, successfully organized the 4th Student-Led Research Day on 04th June 2025.This academic event offered a platform for graduating students and their faculty mentors to showcase their year-long research achievements and academic diligence.

The symposium featured research presentations across key physiotherapy specialties, including Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Cardio-respiratory Physiotherapy, and Neurophysiotherapy, with contributions from 11 dedicated student groups.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ramprasad Muthukrishnan, Associate Dean – CoHS, and Dr. Kumaraguruparan, BPT Program Director, who emphasized the significance of research in shaping the future of evidence-based physiotherapy practice. Their addresses set a tone of academic excellence and inspired collaboration.

To recognize the outstanding efforts and commitment of the participants, Dr. Ramprasad, Dr. Kumaraguruparan, Dr. Satheeskumar, and Dr. Meruna presented certificates of appreciation to all student researchers. This symbolic gesture celebrated the culmination of their academic journey and honored their pursuit of scientific excellence.
