Dr. Jameel Rizwana Hussaindeen, Associate Professor and Program Director, Department of Optometry & Vision Sciences, proudly represented the College of Health Sciences, Gulf Medical University, at the prestigious Innovation Day UAE, hosted by EssilorLuxottica on 17th June 2025 at The Palace Downtown, Dubai.
Dr. Rizwana delivered an engaging and insightful presentation on the “Functional Impact and Clinical Diagnosis of Presbyopia,” offering a fresh, clinically relevant perspective on an age-related condition that affects millions worldwide.
The event also witnessed the launch of the New Varilux® Physio® Extensee™, a cutting-edge progressive lens crafted to meet the evolving visual needs of today’s presbyopes.
Adding to the celebratory spirit, Dr. Rizwana showcased her wide-ranging talents by winning the Innovation Day Quiz Challenge, securing the latest iPhone 16 as a well-earned prize.
