BPT Students of CoHS, GMU Volunteered for The Physiotherapy Check-Up Camp at DPS, Sharjah

Final Year BPT students from CoHS, GMU, Ms. Diya Thakur and Ms. Zainab Labaran Madari, Volunteered at Medical & Physiotherapy Check-up Camp for Parents at Delhi Private School, Muwailah Campus, Sharjah on February 1, 2025.

The primary goal of this community event was to support the health of parents and help them return to their daily routines with renewed strength and confidence. During the event, the students conducted assessments of vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and blood sugar levels. Additionally, they provided general guidance through a PowerPoint presentation focused on healthy posture, common pain issues, and effective management strategies.

Students offered ergonomic consultations to prevent and manage common musculoskeletal conditions such as lower back pain, knee pain, and neck pain. They provided targeted treatments and guided parents through specific exercises designed to alleviate discomfort and promote recovery. This experience allowed the students to implement collaborative physiotherapy practices in a non-clinical setting.

Dr. Paveen Kumar, Dean, CoHS, commented, “This initiative highlights the importance of practical experience for our students and demonstrates our commitment to community health and well-being.”
