Gulf Medical University’s College of Health Sciences hosted a career advising session named, “Exploring New Horizons: HCPC & Career Breakthroughs in the UK,” on 05th May 2025; tailored for final-year students of Department of Medical Imaging Sciences. The session was led by Ms. Rhea Zachariah, a distinguished Diagnostic Radiographer and Trainee Reporting Radiographer at Cumberland Infirmary, NCIC, Carlisle, United Kingdom.

Ms. Rhea Zachariah provided valuable insights into the process of obtaining Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration, sharing her personal experiences and highlighting key strategies for preparing and navigating the application process. She also discussed emerging career opportunities in the UK for medical imaging professionals emphasising on:
- HCPC registration process and requirements
- Emerging career opportunities in medical imaging
- Importance of continuous professional development
- Pathways for academic and clinical advancement
