In GMU Research Day held on December 20 and 21 of 2021, Physiotherapy faculty presented following research works listed below. The area of research covered diabetes, old age fitness, back pain, post-coronary angioplasty rehabilitation and web-forum based learning among physiotherapy students.
Dr. Ramprasad Muthukrishnan presented on “Types of exercises, myonectin responses, and insulin resistance among overweight and obese individuals: A systematic review and narrative synthesis”.

Dr. Praveen Kumar presented on “Badminton for Cardiovascular & Neuromuscular function among older adults with and without non- communicable diseases” and “Effectiveness of Web-forum based learning among Undergraduate Physiotherapy Students: A Quasi- experimental study”.

Dr. Animesh Hazari presented on “Clinical Implications of Gait Analysis among people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in United Arab Emirates”.

Dr. Watson Arulsingh presented on “Influence of kinesiophobia on pain intensity, disability, muscle endurance and position sense in patients with chronic low back pain- A case control study”.

Dr. Sampath Kumar Amaravadi presented on “Effectiveness of exercise training on insulin resistance, telomere length, Inflammatory markers, functional capacity, and quality of life in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus – A randomized controlled trial”.

Dr. Sukumar Shanmugam presented on “The effectiveness of low-level laser therapy combined with facial expression exercises in patients with moderate-to-severe Bell’s palsy: A study protocol for a randomized controlled trial”.
