My name is Yara Talib, a 4th year dentistry student. Being the Joint secretary of BDS is something that I have wanted ever since I entered the program, this is because there is so much that I wished to implement for myself and for others throughout this journey. Now that I have completed my preclinical courses and entered the clinical courses I trust that I have insight on what students from both phases need. I believe that I am capable of implementing change and adding more of what is related to dentistry that would be beneficial to the students, and to achieve that, I will try my best. |

I have ventured off the path. I have plowed through my so called comfort box. I branched off, not only to help me… but now; to help my class, my university. Politics has always been a passion of mine since becoming involved within the school debate team and being voted Student Rep at my school. I enjoy speaking to my fellow students, discussing their issues that affect their daily lives and planning on how to change them. The world is continuously changing, and I want to become involved in the interactions that affect current and future generations.
