Student-Led Research Conducted by BPT Students

Final year Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) students’ of 2020 batch, Department of Physiotherapy, College of Health Sciences (CoHS), Gulf Medical University organised Student-Led Research Day on 14th June 2024. The primary objective of Research Day was to provide a platform for graduating students and their supervisors to highlight the extensive research that they have conducted throughout their academic journey. This event aimed to showcase students’ dedication and accomplishments in their respective fields of study.

The event covered Physiotherapy research covering topics involving all specialties viz. Musculoskeletal PT, Cardio-respiratory PT, Neurophysiotherapy and Community PT. [Link to schedule and project titles]

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, who eagerly collaborated and engaged in valuable discussions with fellow faculty members, receiving insightful feedback and review comments to further enhance their research projects.

Highlighting the significance of Student Research Day, Program Chair Dr. Ramprasad emphasized that this event extends beyond individual achievements. It serves as a unique opportunity for collaboration, networking, and forging connections, which will have a lasting impact on participants’ professional journeys.

To recognize the participants’ remarkable accomplishments, Dr. Kumaraguruparan, Program Director, presented certificates to each student during the event, acknowledging their dedication and commitment to the field of physiotherapy.

Praveen Kumar K, Dean, CoHS, commended the students for their tireless efforts in pushing the boundaries of knowledge, challenging existing paradigms, and paving the way for groundbreaking discoveries. He expressed confidence that their work would have a lasting impact and expand our understanding of the world.
