Bachelor of Physiotherapy students, COHS presented a talk on “Role of Physiotherapy in management of Dental Periapical Abscess” as part of the interprofessional education session on 22.11.2022 held in Gulf Medical University, Ajman.
This session was organized by the College of Dentistry. This session was attended by faculty and students from various colleges and departments of Gulf Medical University.
BPT students Ms.Saada Hasan (2019PT30) and Ms.Rawan Mamdouh (2019PT36) presented on physiotherapy assessment and intervention methods to reduce the complications in dental periapical abscess patients.
They helped other healthcare professionals to understand the physiotherapist’s role in dental problem patients and registered the importance of teamwork in the delivery of healthcare during this interprofessional session.
The students were commended for their presentation and for their commitment to interprofessional education. The session attendees noted that the students’ insights will help to improve the delivery of healthcare and to promote collaboration among health professionals.
