Physiotherapy Department, College of Health Sciences, welcomed the new batch of Physiotherapy Interns on March 1st, 2021. Registered interns from different nationalities attended the session that was very interactive and gained a clear information regarding internship training from this session.

Dr. Praveen Kumar K, Dean, CoHS, GMU delivered the welcome note followed by the address of Dr. Satheeskumar D, Coordinator explaining rules, regulations, and training evaluation methods of Physiotherapy Internship. Ms. Sharmila Banu, In-charge Physiotherapist form Thumbay Physical Therapy rehabilitation Hospital, Ajman explained the polices, practices of the training site.

Physiotherapy Internship is an obligatory period of experiential learning, spanning over 06 months where the graduate of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy is trained to acquire the essential knowledge, skill, and competencies required to function as a Physiotherapist.
This internship period is mandatory for graduates of Bachelor of Physiotherapy for taking the Physiotherapist Licensing examination of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, UAE.
Gulf Medical University is offering the Internship program in collaboration with Thumbay Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Hospital that is approved by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, UAE.
