Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, CoHS, organized a carrier advising session on “National and International Licensing and career options for Medical Laboratory Professionals” held on Thursday 23rd February 2023 at GMU.
The session was initiated with a welcome address by Dr. Ayman Hussein, Assistant Professor MLS. The session was attended by faculty, graduates and students from BSc. and MSc. MLS programs.
Dr. Asad and Mr. Marwan shared detailed information about the application process for a national scientist license and the international license of American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), BOC Examination Eligibility, the online application, Scheduling the exam date and preparing for the exam.
Ms. Suad Saeed (BSc. MLS graduate) shared her experience in licensing by DHA and MOH licensing.
Ms. Najwa (MSc. MLS graduate) and Ms. Huda (MSc. MLS student) presented career options for medical laboratory scientists and explored career paths in research and blood banking respectively.
