Ms. Fathima of GMU volunteers for football matches held by Positive Spirit program – Dubai Police, UAE

Ms. Fathima Nasir (2019PT03) 3rd year BPT student gained experience by volunteering as medical support for football matches held by the Positive Spirit program by Dubai police, UAE between 09.04.2022 to 23.04.2022.

The program aims to motivate the youth into athletics and playing more sports, to lead a very active lifestyle in the UAE.

Speaking on her experience Ms. Fathima said “I am honored to have been called for the volunteering as it has enhanced my skills, confidence and experience in recalling mostly musculoskeletal cases we have studied in the university. I had the opportunity to meet two physiotherapists who worked with the Dubai Police, came for medical help as well. Learnt a great deal of information on cases and their professional skills on the football ground. I have also understood the importance of proper training for such events”.
