Celebrating the World Radiography Day 2022, Department of Medical Imaging Sciences, CoHS, organized a Faculty and students Development session on “Current Breast Cancer Innovations” on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. The interactive and informative session was conducted by Prof. Professor Patrick Brennan, Professor of Medical Imaging, University of Sydney, Australia.

Patrick is a global leader in medical imaging optimization and perception. He is Chair of Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Sydney and the world’s highest-ranked researcher in Medical Radiation Sciences. His work has changed clinical practice, impacted national guidelines, and informed international reports. His research has been disseminated through thirty-five keynote/plenary talks across five continents.
The webinar focused on introducing the latest achievements, technologies, and breakthroughs in Breast cancer research.

The webinar provided students, staff, and faculty from GMU and local universities with an opportunity to discuss recent advances in the detection of breast cancer with world-renowned experts. We also hope to establish co-teaching and research collaborations with leading universities through this webinar.
Dr. Rawashdeh, Program Director, mentioned that the Medical Imaging Department is dedicated to providing high-quality medical education as well as participating in advanced research opportunities with local and international communities.
Praveen Kumar, Dean, College of Health Sciences commented: “It is very important that faculty learn from experts and apply the expert-shared information to all projects at CoHS, GMU.”
