On 7th Feb. 2023 the Med Lab ME hosted the LabQ Intercollege Quiz competition open to senior graduating College and University students majoring in Medical Laboratory Sciences in UAE. The three levels of Quiz rounds were from Clinical Chemistry/ Immunology, Hematology/Body fluids, Blood transfusion, Molecular diagnostics/ Genetics and Laboratory management.
The competition was between four prestigious Universities offering Medical Laboratory Sciences program in UAE.
Representing Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences program at CoHS, Gulf Medical University Ms. Rahaf Kaki (2019ML05) and Ms. Samar Amjad Mousa Al-Ansawi (2019ML13) took part and won the Second place winning the Silver.
All Semester- 8 Medical Laboratory Sciences students along with the Program Chair Dr. Ahmed Luay Osman Hashim and faculties attended the event and supported the winners.
Praveen Kumar, Dean, CoHS commented: “We are proud and happy to see our students winning the medal. It is a proud moment for all of us at GMU”.
