Department of Physiotherapy, College of Health Sciences, GMU, welcomed and inducted new students’ of 2023 cohort of Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) program on September 09, 2023, by organizing an orientation program.
Orientation included a welcome address by the Dean, CoHS, followed with an address by Dr. Ramprasad M, Chairperson-Physiotherapy, who shared detailed information related to the Program Learning Outcomes, graduation requirements and importance of an evidence-based practice. Dr. Watson, Program Director-MPT, explained about the program study plan, assessment plan for the academic calendar, grading system, course registration, weekly schedule, mentorship program and faculty profile who involved in teaching. The Orientation session was concluded with a tour of GMU’s state-of-the-art facilities, Thumbay Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ajman.
Praveen Kumar, Dean, College of Health Sciences commented: “The graduate students have begun an exciting professional journey to build on their knowledge and skills with a bright future and great career ahead, especially when they will be trained in GMU’s state-of-the-art facilities under highly qualified faculty”.
