GMU’s MLS Students Seamlessly Integrate Community Engagement into Coursework with Health Initiative in collaboration with Rafid – Sharjah

Breaking away from conventional academic boundaries, students from Gulf Medical University’s Medical Laboratory Science program embarked on a community engagement initiative seamlessly integrated into their coursework. As part of the “Teaching and Learning for Laboratory Professionals” course, led by Dr. Salma Elnour, students presented a compelling case for healthy lifestyle at Rafid – Sharjah, aligning with the Gulf Medical University’s commitment to holistic education on 13.11.2023.

This initiative underscores Gulf Medical University’s mission to produce socially responsible healthcare professionals, actively contributing to the well-being of the communities they serve. Dr. Salma Elnour expressed the importance of integrating community engagement into coursework, stating, “Our goal is to nurture professionals who not only excel academically but also understand their role in society. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to holistic education.”
