GMU’s Dr. Animesh Hazari Speaks at 8th Biennial Emirates Physiotherapy Conference, Conrad Dubai

Dr. Animesh Hazari, Assistant Professor, College of Health Sciences, GMU was invited as a guest speaker at the 8th Biennial Emirates Physiotherapy Conference, Conrad Dubai on 15th and 16th, Oct, 2022. He delivered his research findings titled “Biomechanical Comparison of Squat Jump and Counter Movement Jump among sedentary young females in United Arab Emirates” which was well appreciated by the organizers and international fraternity.

Dr. Hazari highlighted the biomechanical analysis and important of two different jump techniques and how the findings could be implemented in clinical practice for determining lower limb strength and power. He suggested that sedentary young females could be at a risk of future Musculoskeletal disorders due to poor adherence to physical activity. Thus, they should be engaged regular exercise programs. This research stands first of its kind in UAE and could have high clinical relevance.
