Dr. Animesh Hazari, Assistant Professor, College of Health Sciences, GMU was invited as a guest speaker at the 4th World Congress on Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Medicine, Dubai, November 23rd -24th, 2022. He delivered his research findings titled “Clinical Implications of Gait Analysis in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in United Arab Emirates” which was well appreciated by the organizers and international fraternity.
Dr. Hazari highlighted the biomechanical analysis and importance of gait analysis among T2DM population. He suggested that detailed biomechanical analysis could help to prevent future foot complications such as diabetic foot ulcers and associated amputations. This reasearch stands first of its kind in UAE and could have high clinical relevance.
